Wood Chipping

We wood chip or shred all of the tree branches and hedge clippings we cut. We have two machines, the larger is a wood chipper which is capable of chipping a log up to 6 inches or 15cm in diameter. It is a very powerful machine, mainly used on our tree surgery work. The smaller, orange machine is a shredder which shreds hedge clippings and smaller branches up to 3 inches or 7cm diameter.

We produce a large amount of chip every winter and reuse all of it, nothing goes to waste. We use it in a lot of our commercial sites to keep the weeds down in the shrub boarders, such as at the Pickaquoy Centre and Balfour Hospital.
