Ruth & JohnWe are trained tree surgeons and insured to carry out this dangerous work. Between the three of us, we collectively have 50 years’ experience. We have all worked in the industry down south in much larger trees than you would find here in Orkney and in many challenging scenarios, gaining valuable experience.
The main goal of our job is to try and preserve the tree where possible to help it live longer.
We carry out all aspects of tree surgery, from section felling, thinning, crown reduction, trimming away from services and fragile buildings to stump treatment, wood chipping and advising customers on best ways to look after their trees.
We work closely with our clients and the local council within conservation areas, helping and advising our customers on tree works within these areas and explaining that planning applications must be submitted. We regularly fill out applications and, once approved, carry out the works.
Tree surgery is a dangerous and skilled activity and should only be carried out by experienced and trained operatives. We are always happy to show our certification, insurance and risk assessments to anybody who asks.
