Stump Grinding
On behalf of the Orphir community council I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the high standard of works carried out by yourself and your company at the orphir kirkyard this summer.
Orphir Community CouncilA Stump Grinder is a machine that grinds away at tree stumps, turning them in to wood chips and completely removing them from sight — down to 20 cm below the soil surface.
If you have a tree or shrub stump in your garden that is unsightly or in the middle of a lawn or boarder we are able to grind it away out of sight. You can then cover the remains in soil and grass over it or plant something new in its place.
It is a very efficient process. A stump of approximately 20cm in diameter can be processed in as little as 10 minutes.
In the 4 years that we now have had this machine we have we have ground away several hundred stumps for clients both commercially and privately. The process is very quick and clean and more often than not the client chooses to have the stump removed. Below is a picture of a large cypress stump from a tree that was blown over and we ground it away in just under 1 hour, it was so heavy we where unable to move it ourselves so hired in a small digger to man handle it around so we could grind it.
